Mercy has Overcome 2
The Chosen TV show portrays Mary Magdalene as feeling unworthy of Jesus’ love. The scripture doesn’t give us this information, but I believe she felt like that, just like we do.

There are conflicting facts about our worthiness.
You and I are not worthy, but Jesus makes us worthy.
When we don’t feel worthy what are we saying?
Are we acknowledging that we have sinned and hurt God or are we saying that God can’t love us?
There is a huge difference.
You are unworthy.
Romans 3:9 What shall we conclude then? Are we any better? Not at all! We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin. 10 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; 11 there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. 12 All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
God gave you the gift of grace. Now you are worthy.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
We earned the wage, but Jesus gave us a GIFT.
We are seen as blameless before God as we put on Christ.
Galatians 3:26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
Jude 1:24 To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—
We are clothed with Christ and will be presented as perfect.
Wow! Praise God!
When you feel unworthy then take time to confess your sins and remember your position in Christ.
1 John 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
God loves you; that is why He sent Jesus.
Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
You are worthy because God makes you worthy.
Praise Him today and quit hanging the chicken around your neck (see below).

Illustration I used Sunday about the Chicken.
A little boy was visiting his grandparents and he received his first slingshot. He practiced in the woods, but he could never hit his target. As he came back to Grandma's backyard, he spied her pet chicken. On an impulse, he took aim and let it fly. The stone hit, and the chicken fell dead. The boy panicked. Desperately, he hid the dead chicken in the woodpile, only to look up and see his sister watching. Sally had seen it all, but she said nothing.
After lunch that day, Grandma said, "Sally, let's wash the dishes." But Sally said, "Johnny told me he wanted to help in the kitchen today. Didn't you, Johnny?" And she whispered to him, "Remember the chicken!" So Johnny did the dishes.
Later, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing. Grandma said, "I'm sorry, but I need Sally to help make supper." Sally smiled and said, "That's all taken care of. Johnny wants to do it." Again, she whispered, "Remember the chicken."
So Johnny stayed while Sally went fishing. After several days of Johnny doing both his and Sally's chores, he finally couldn't stand it. He confessed to Grandma that he'd killed the chicken. "I know, Johnny," she said, giving him a hug. I was standing at the window and saw the whole thing. Because I love you, I forgave you. I just wondered how long you would let Sally make a slave of you."
